Willow lies within the Matanuska Susitna Borough District 7 which also encompasses:

 

  • Meadow Lakes west to the border of the Borough
  • Northern border of the Borough to the Denali Highway including Trapper Creek
  • Talkeetna
  • Sheep Mountain Area

Assembly member Tam Boeve was elected to the Assembly in the October 2, 2018, Regular Borough Election.
