Site Design Changes

It is considered very poor form to change the way a system operates “underneath” it’s users. While the site is bedding down however, some changes will be essential. More detailed explanation of each change can be found below.

Feb 18, ‘07: Recipe Changes

Replace comment and forum functions with better versions (fox.php).

Jan 14, ‘07: Core update

Update to PmWiki-2.2.0-beta21. This allows simple form posts (using the fox extension) and “votes” for Carnival awards. 2.2 has been tested locally for the last two months.

Aug 28, ‘06: Core update

Updated to PmWiki-2.1.18. This fixes a problem with page caching in FF. Users of that browser (and Opera) should see faster page refreshes now.

Aug 13, ‘06: Background

Finally fixed the ugly background for IE5 browsers! (Didn’t like transparent area of png image--made solid #ffe which “fixed” the problem.

Aug 3 ‘06: Calendar

The Calendar page had been changed if favor of a more graphic display. This is largely because the old style showed only one entry per day by default which could be confusing. While the newer style shows all entries, they are small, so if your eyesight is poor, like mine, you need to click on the underlined date and a list of events for that day will appear above the month display. The new calendar also provides a simple form for entry of events for those authorized to do so.
