- Ron Swanson, MSB Director of Community Development: originally had attended the meeting to accept public input about the proposed prison site in Willow/Huston. That particular site was removed from the list of possibles a few days before the meeting. Mr Swanson discussed the whole prison site selection process and also the reasons why the Willow/Huston site was dropped as a candidate.
- Bea Adler, MSB Emergency Management Programs Coordinator: discussed CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), which is a Homeland Security National Program. The Willow CERT was activated in August because of the flooding. This was the first activation in Alaska. There was a repeat presentation to Erv Dedeker, as leader of the Willow CERT, the first being on November 21st at the Mat-Su Assembly. The presentation was in recognition of the Willow CERT program for outstanding service to the community from Dennis Brodigan, John Duffy and the Mat-Su Assembly.
- Krista Grilliot, WACO Past Chair: accepted nominations for the Carnival Awards. Nominations will be closed at the end of the next general meeting, January 8, 2007.
