Events for Kids Jan. 26th & Feb. 2nd
Unless mentioned differently events are held on both Saturdays.
Indoor
- “Face painting”
- “Make your own T-shirt” paint, draw and/or stamp your own Carnival T-shirt
- “Feed the hare” tossing game, feed hare with bean bag leaves and flowers through its mouth
- “Ice fishing pond” fish for metal fish with magnetic lure through a hole in a fake ice covered lake
- “Craft an arctic hare which can change its color” easy to do craft with paper plates, paint, glue and cotton.
- “Pet real rabbits and learn about the arctic hare”
- “Animal walk” like cookie or cakewalk, instead of numbers, animal tracks, prices not necessarily cakes or cookies.
- “Wiggle Car Races” (Feb. 2. only) those cars move by wiggling their steering wheels. No help with feet allowed!
- Story hour and crafts in the library
Outdoor
- “Ice cube Race” like an “egg race”, kids are carrying an ice cube on a spoon over an obstacle course. Use different spoon sizes for different age levels
- “Marshmallow In A Snow Bank” like “needle in the haystack” find marshmallows in a snow bank. Use colored marshmallow for younger kids.
- “Sled race” who can go the farthest in a sled down the sledding hill
- “Make a Snow Painting” spray paint the snow with environmental friendly paint.
- “Kids Snowshoe Races” run in snowshoes against the other kids. 4 age groups:3-5,4-6,10-12,13-16y
- “Sledding Hill” sleds provided, supervised.
- “Kids Sled Dog Races” (Jan 26. only)
