Work has started on the 2009 Carnival. However, instead of monthly meetings
Pat Madigan and Shirley Wakeman will handle the preparatory administration.
They will meet with those individuals responsible for some particular aspect of
the Carnival (event/table etc) to determine needs and responsibilities. This should —
- avoid the lengthy meetings where everyone had to listen to the status of items outside of their interest;
- avoid the repetition of those meetings, where volunteers who miss a meeting have to be bought up to date;
- allow those responsible for an event to concentrate on their event without the constant need to keep everyone else informed.
Some meetings will be held, of course, particularly as the starting date grows nearer. Status summaries will also be distributed and published here.
